Community Service - The Deon Lewis Memorial HOPE Run on October 9, 2016.  Hope Inc provides financial assistance for housing and childcare to low-income single parents obtaining a college degree .

AWSOME event on Sunday October 23, 2016! LDAC Kappa League attended the book signing and discussion event with Civil Rights Leader & Congressman John Lewis and Andrew Aydin.

What ...a wonderful learning experience for our young men to hear Congressman Lewis share some of the stories that made have made lasting impact on us today! Several of the Kappa Leaguers purchased their own books and were already reading them as they wanted to take their pictures with Congressman Lewis!

11/19 Business meeting.  Overall great meeting, we spent time on the election results and used them to reinforce the importance of voting, difference between popular vote and the electoral college, and impact of mid-term elections. We also had the officers out front (left picture) in preparation to lead upcoming meetings.

Were impressed with the turnout considering it was the start of Thanksgiving vacation and several Kappa Leaguers were traveling.

Brothers of the Lawrenceville-Duluth Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi out on out with Kappa Leaguers celebrating Martin Luther King day 2017 on January 16.  It was a great day to reflect on Dr. King's sacrifice along with countless unnamed heroes that walked along side him.

The weather could not have been better!

We had a great Kappa League Conference in Spartanburg, SC.  The conference started on Friday night February 10, 2017 with a meet and greet of the South Carolina and Georgia Kappa League chapters.  Saturday was packed full of leadership development seminars at Woffard College.

The conference ended Sunday morning with a powerful sermon on the living with a spirit of excellence.

FISHING

Early start for the fishing trip. Kappa Leaguers met at 6:15 AM on April 22, 2017.

Brother Darryl Johnson and members of his team the 'Atlanta Tight Lines Bass Club' helped our young men learn how to fish.  They were great hosts and everyone learned how to cast a line and catch fish thanks to their excellent instruction.

HAWKS

We had a great time at the Hawks game on March 5, 2017 against the Pacers.  Atlanta fought hard down to the last second and unfortunately lost by 1 point 96 - 97.  Post game our Kappa Leaguers had an opportunity to meet franchise player Paul Millsap for autographs and conversation.

We appreciate the partnership with the Atlanta Hawks and their willingness to contribute to a positive experience for our Kappa Leaguers.
